My daughter is in her second year of living in the Braxton in Columba, MO. There was a new management company who took over this year and they have been TERRIBLE. The doors to my daughters building have been broken for 5 weeks. The solution of the apartment complex was to prop doors open, letting anyone who would like to enter the apartment building access. Last week, there was a possum wandering in a stairwell. Every time she calls, she is told they're "waiting" for a solution. I am extremely disappointed in this and would not recommend anyone letting their daughter live there.
Read your lease very carefully. They list the typical fees/ payments/ utilities on page 1. Then bury on page 7 an additional fee for credit reporting. They automatically enroll you in this program without any warning or heads up. Its a big scam to get more money/ screw college students. This is very shady business practice and borderline fraud in my opinion.
Don't waste your time. I have been in The Decker two and a half years. Large rental company trying to squeeze money out of an aging building. The one positive: the single bedroom apartments are quite large for the price. The upstairs security door is now never locked because it can't. Rental company is too cheap to actually replace it, so they band-aid it. Every so often the door is 'fixed' until a tenant or guest rips it open, re-breaking it. Begging the question, is it even a security door?
